Look at these....

I had to buy these fabrics from the Andalucia range by Patty Young from Mod Kid .....I have had my eye on this range for some time and want to make skirts for my girls with it......look out in the coming weeks for the finished photos...... aren't they just so groovy......
Then these...

are just perfect for My Dear Jane quilt that I am slowly making........ the pink and brown ones are from the 'Charleston' range by Marcus brothers and the green one is from Marcus brothers again but I am unsure of the range..... so if you know the green on on the bottom let me know please......

ROSES FOR LOVE!!

On Tuesday's at my home there is a get together of friends..... we share time together sewing, quilting, coffee/tea, chats and life.....sometimes one of us goes through tough times and we are all there for each other to listen, cry, laugh and Love each other......We don't always talk about our issue, it is just great to be able to BE with one another.

This week one of us needed to be Loved by the rest of us......needed to be cared about and know that we are here for her and Love her and miss her..... so we met together ( while our friend had to be away) and made her some Roses For Love........
We hope you get well soon and we look forward to more times together for we are 'Friends Together'
We made these Roses from the pattern in the 'Gift' Book by Rosalie Quinlan and are very special... I hope you like these..... and if you want to make some be sure to purchase Rosies great inspirational book.......

Have a great week and shower someone you care about with Love.....

Easy Peasy Baby Quilt Finished!

I have had a good run this week with time and finished another baby quilt for a friend of mine. I Have really enjoyed this one and love the bright colors in it. The blocks are easy to do and comes together quite easily.
Cut 63 blocks of fabric 3 1/2" x 5 1/2".
Cut 126 strips of homespun 1 1/2" x 5 1/2"
Sew strips to each 5 1/2" side

Alternate the blocks, 1 horizontal, 1 vertical, making rows so to have 7 across and 9 down. Sew together and add a 1 1/2" border all around.

Back with a cute fabric and I added a few of the spare 3 1/2" x 5 1/2" blocks in a strip for effect. Quilt either in the ditch or stipple all over. There you have it. Easy Peasy.

I will be back tomorrow with some pictures of another project that I finished but can't show until the recipient has received it as she reads this blog.

Chocolate Doris and Lemon Delight!

Yum Yum, they looked so yummy in the book, so we decided to make them today......It was a perfect day for baking....cold outside and raining....a good day for the oven to be on. First the girls had to have a stir....Then they could lick the spoon afterwards.....

I did use 2 spoons.......

I always loved to lick the spoon when my mum baked and had put the cake or whatever in the oven.

Once they came out of the oven and cooled, we iced them and then had afternoon tea with Daddy.......it was really special to see them enjoy what they had helped to make.

It makes my heart glad when we are in the kitchen together.....baking, laughing and enjoying the fun......and mess..LolHope you have a wonderful weekend...

'Mothers Love'

I have finally put together my quilt from a fair few years ago.....I so loved this quilt when I saw it, but had 2 babies and found some other favorites, so finishing it was not a proirity. I must admit other things came along and I put it aside for the newer projects, different colors ect. It is now finished and I am unsure if it goes with my decor anymore....maybe it needs to grow on me again, or it might go in the cupboard for that special birthday present when it's needed and I have no time to make a quilt quick. But first to get some more wadding and quilt it b4 it becomes another TBQ ( to be quilted). The pattern is 'Mothers Love' by Natalie Bird from 'The Birdhouse'

Some of the blocks......

They are just so sweet.........Now I can sew something new....that was the deal with my friend I made at the beginning of the year, one new project, one UFO. So now onto a new project....that means some new fabric must be bought...Lol.

Have a great week, happy stitching.
Hugs and Blessings,
