Dawn that is wonderful news - being doubly blessed in the next year. You will love it so much that you wont mind being called whatever is decided upon.Love all the aprons - every one is so pretty.
Congratulations Dawn , being a grandmother is wonderful , I have seven grandchildren and started when I was just 40 and they know me as Gammie ,I got that name from my great grandmother that I actually never met but loved the sound of Gammie. Good luck with your choice you are going to love being a grandmother :-) Sweet aprons!
How exciting to be having two grandbabies in the same year! Congratulations grammie to be! :0)
Congratulations. I once read somewhere that you are as old as the person you cuddle, so give your grand babies lots of cuddles and they will keep you young.
What lovely, exciting news Dawn! :-)'I became a Grandmother at 38!! I only had "Grandmas" and DH had a "Nanna"My little Grandson just started saying "nan" which ended up being Nanny, and DH was "Pop" --and now his wife calls me "Nanny" as well! :-)I was so happy to have him in my life he could have called me anything-lol. Hugs, Sandy.
Happy News! You will love being a Gramma. I was a Gramma at 37--was so much fun taking the grand places and people thinking she was mine. I also was a Great Gram at 62. It's fun being young with the next generations arrive.Marie in Oregon.
How wonderful for you Dawn!! A gramma :) Congratulations to everyone in the family!! The aprons are beautiful, thank you for sharing!
congrats on being a Grandie! (still way off for me), but my sister is one and her grandkids call her GG (stands for Grandma and G is the first letter of her surname...whatever they call you will be great I'm sure..cheers Julz
Hello Dawn! Congratulations!!! My mother ia a Nana (later shortened to Nan), my aunt became a Nonny and I have a friend that's a Mimi :) I think that they're all fun, but Mimi sounds "young".Best Wishes to you all!Pam in Chicago
The joy in becoming a grandmother will make you even younger. Doesn't matter what they call you. I'm Nana to my 6 grands, but the three-year-old always calls me Nan.
Congratulations! Best news ever, huh? My 18 month old grandson can't say "Grammy", so he's been calling me Gaga. His parents now call me Lady Gaga... That sounds pretty young to me. LOL
Congratulations Dawn!!! I've always thought that Nana sounds the 'youngest' of all the grandmother names. But that's probably because it's from the norht of England and I was from the south... so it seemed really cute to me to hear others' say it when I was growing up!Love the aprons sweetie - both given and received! Gorgeous!!!Hugs sweetie, and Happy new Year!Vikki xoxoxo
What cute aprons! Congrats - very exciting news. Lets see - you could do like Shirley McClain in "Terms of Endearment" - and make them call you "Mrs. Dawn" LOL! In all seriousness - they'll be so darn cute - you probably won't care what they call ya!
Two babies! Congratulations! My Treasures (grandchildren) call me Nana. My Nana was so special to me I wanted to use the same name. Love your aprons :-)Chris
Beautiful aprons!! I love wearing them too! But oh Dawn your wonderful news - how exciting is that!!! Do you sons live close to each other? Cuz cousins that are the same age are SO special! We call my mum meemaw - don't ask me why - my son started calling her that when he couldn't say grandma, and it stuck! There's also mimi, nan [short for nana], and if I think of anymore I'll let you know! Better get crackin' on some baby quilts, girl!
Oh Dawn!! What wonderful news! It is just sooo wonderful being a grandmother. I didnt realise the immense love you feel for your grandchildren, until I had some of my own. You are in for a double treat. Congratulations to everyone! Hugs n Blessings from Sue.
Congratulations.... wonderful... In my experience being Nana has been the best thing ever.... Hugz
Congratulations!!!! Great news!Could you direct me to the 'out of the box' challenge? I clicked on the picture and it didn't link to anything. Thanks!
Congrats on the new babies coming. I am not a grandmother yet so I don't know any names. I would like to be a grandma though but my kids are waiting. The aprons are so great.Looking forward to the BOM.
I have two grandchildren and this is something that I really struggled with. It becomes hard when there are already so many grandparents around in your little one's life that already have "grandparent" names! I thought maybe we would be Oma and Opa, but it didn't feel very natural. Waiting for them to call you something can be a long wait! And their parents have to be calling you something for them to start! I liked the idea of them just using our christian names, but nobody else did. In the end I decided we should be Ma and Pa just like Ma and Pa Kettle. (Well, we had just bought a Ma and Pa Kettle dvd, the names are easy to say, and we have got a lot of kids!)
