Mrs Tabitha Twitchit

is one of the characters in a Beatrix Potter
book Tom Kitten. She is Tom's mum.. and a cute little Kitty.
DD Miss J decided this would be her dress up for Book Week.
Her school celebrated 'Book Week' with a parade,
for all the children to dress up in their favorite book character.
So out came the fabrics and trims,
lots of Mums sewing skills used here...LOL

And voila.... cute as a button
My Miss J looking very much like Mrs Tabitha Twitchit

Oh she was so thrilled and proud.
Dancing around in the morning with
a grin as big as the chesire cat!
Now she has a nice dress up outfit.

Now to go stich this while I watch
"Escape to the Country"- my favorite TV show...
or one of my favorites...LOL

 Happy Stitching

 Hugs

Dawn I absolutely LOVE this! Your little girl looks adorable in the costume you made for her. Mrs. Tabitha Twitchet sure had her hands full with that naughty Tom, didn't she? I'm a huge fan of Beatrix Potter, and her stories about Tom Kitten.

Oh my goodness, I absolutely love it. What a lucky little girl. You did a fabulous job. Good for you! I just rented a movie about Beatrix Potter last month. I can't remember if I heard about it on your blog or whose blog it was, but it was a delightful movie about her life story and how she came about to write books. It wasn't really a cartoon or a kids movie, but a lighthearted, fun, yet sad movie. I loved it. It was called Miss Potter with Renee Zellweger. You should watch it. Have a great weekend!
