What's your Name????...

After having a conversation with some friends today
about how we choose a blog name and what it is.
I have always wondered when visiting blogs
where did they get the name for the blog.
We had a laugh at a few...he he
What's the reason behind the name???...
Some are quirky and some very cute, some just roll off the tongue,
some make a statement, some are just because.
I thought it would be great to find out.
 Why?? What's your name!
Want to win a  Moda charm pack??? lets have some fun...
Just because!...
As well find out what motivated you to name your blog what it is.
I would love you to join me and explain
 "What's your Name and Why"
My reason for 'As Sweet as Cinnamon'
- Its the meaning of our youngest daughters name.
We love her name and the meaning is so special...
She has the sweetest temperament and is even sweet to smell..
her name also means Most Beautiful...
actually both our girls names mean most beautiful
and they are to us just that... he he...we are very biased.
I also love, love, love Sweet Cinnamon Scrolls
and have made them every Christmas for ages..
so it just was fitting to be a blog name.

Hey Dawn! I've done a post telling the 'story' of how my blog name came about ... but the post link had too many characters in it for my linky, so I've just popped my blog address in it and it's the most recent post ... fun to see where people's blog names came from! :0) Bear Hugs! KRIS

Hi Dawn. I did a post and used the link up but had to go to Tiny URL to shorten the link title. Thanks this was interesting.

Not feeling well enough for a blog post at present so guess I am not in the running but want to share anyway. I have long loved the Frost poem "Stopping by the woods..." and love the line about promises to keep and miles to go before I sleep. My life has been turned upside down by severe fibromyalgia. It was the reason my ex filed for divorce and learning to live with chronic pain can really get the best of me. However, I remembered that poem and that particular line and decided to promise myself that I would not give up, and would continue to do the things I loved before illness - as I am able - quilting and hand-sewing for antique dolls being two such things I have promised myself. There are many days when it would be easier to stay in bed and just give in to the pain, but I made that promise to myself and will not give up or give in.

I have a friend in CA Jan, who I watch and learn from everyday. she teaches me so many things...so this AM I learned g=how she named her quilting blog. I never knew. So the story behind my little bog..Pressing My Seams Open...I am a self taught quilter for about 10 years now. I began my addiction while we lived in WI and were in the midst of some horrible foster care situations (we were the providers) I quilted at night after all the kids were in bed and my husband was at work. The ladies at my favorite quilt shot in Racine, WI would talk me through things I couldn't figure out. They were the best. We have several other blogs on our family blog what we write (theellisfamilycincinnati.blogspot.com) I always, in the beginning before I knew better) pressed my seams open. So it just seemed natural.

oh! I also meant to say...I love to know the meaning behind names. I really feel that names are very important..and all the art I do is all drawn entirely with names.

I would love to know what your daughter's name actually is that has the meaning of "Sweet as Cinnamon".
